I was in Montreal last week for work, staying at the Marriott Hotel Chateau Champlain, downtown. The office was just two blocks down the street in the Sun Life Building. Since the weather was mostly grungy/drizzly, I didn't venture too far from the hotel. I did my usual urban-dining routine, walking to various pubs and places in the vicinity. That's how I found La Vieux Dublin.
The burger you see is the "Walsh" Burger, which has cheese, onions, mushrooms, and "smoked meat," Montreal's local version of pastrami. Good burger, the "smoked meat" was an interesting topping! The onion rings were OK, nothing to write home about, but the fries were excellent. I washed it down with a Boreale Rousse, a Quebec-brewed red ale.
Good burger, good beer, and the World Series on the big-screen. They also have live music, so I'll plan for that on my next trip.
